Unsaponifiable oils do not react with caustic soda, such as various mineral oils, which are insoluble in water but soluble in solvents.
1、 Using solvents such as kerosene and diesel to remove oil
Various oils and fats can be cleaned with solvents such as gasoline, kerosene, diesel, alcohol, benzene, etc. Easy to operate, without damaging metal; But the cost is high and expensive raw materials are consumed. In order to save oil and maintain the cleanliness of the oil and parts, an oil tank (or oil box) with a grate can be used to brush the parts on the grate, causing dirt and impurities to settle at the bottom of the tank. After washing the parts, blow dry with compressed air or wipe dry with cotton thread. The cleaning of parts should be done in order, first washing the main parts, and then washing the secondary parts; Wash the cleaner ones first, then the dirty ones, first the smooth ones, and then the rough ones. Do not mix the machines together to avoid damaging each other.
2、 Removing oil with alkaline solution
At present, in transparent film packaging machines, a solution with a concentration of about 10% is commonly used, heated to 70-90 ° C, for cleaning.
Because soap is soluble in water, it can be washed away by rinsing with cold and hot water.
In small and medium-sized repair enterprises, alkali solution is usually added to a large pool and heated with 2 coal. The parts that need to be cleaned should be placed on the grid frame in the pool, or placed in the same container, hung into the pool, boiled and washed for 10-15 minutes, then removed, washed with hot water, and blown.
Larger scale transparent film packaging machine enterprises promote the use of cleaning machines. Cleaning machines are divided into single room, double room, and three room types according to different production rates. Single chamber cleaning machine, the cleaning chamber is made into a cylindrical cylinder with a rotating frame inside, and the cleaned parts are placed on the rotating frame; The heated alkaline solution is sprayed through the nozzle at a pressure of 27 meters of water column towards the rotating part. A three chamber cleaning machine consists of three cleaning rooms. The cleaned parts are placed on the conveyor belt and pass through the three cleaning rooms in sequence. The first two cleaning rooms are rinsed with alkaline water, while the third room is rinsed with hot water.
Due to the difficulty in saponification of mineral oils, using a strong alkaline solution can achieve good cleaning results. The bonding strength between oil droplets and metal surfaces is greatly reduced, making it easy to separate from the parts. Commonly used include soap, synthetic detergents, sodium silicate, oleic acid, triethanolamine, alcohols, etc. Non ferrous metals that are prone to corrosion, such as tin, lead, aluminum, zinc, and their alloys, should not have a high alkalinity when cleaning with surface solution to avoid corrosion of the metal.
