The Development Possibility of Intelligent Packaging Machines in the Pharmaceutical Industry

time: 2023/8/21 Hits :1701

Comparing the Development Feasibility of Box Loading Machine with Manual Box Loading
Compared with traditional manual packaging and packaging machine packaging, we can see the advantages of packaging machine packaging, which also confirms the feasibility of packaging machine development. The packaging machine has the characteristics of low labor intensity, simple operation, and high operating efficiency, especially in accordance with the professional requirements of GMP (98) Article 68 "Batch Number". With China's entry into the WTO and its gradual integration with the international community, requirements have been put forward for increasing labor rates and reducing production costs in the field of drug production. Drug production cannot be separated from the use of packing machines.
Feasibility of the development of packaging machines from an economic perspective
The production capacity of traditional handmade small box packaging is 50-60 minutes (data from an ointment workshop at a pharmaceutical factory in Shanghai), which usually requires 4 people/shift to complete (including discount instructions and batch number printing). Taking the production speed of 120 pieces per minute as an example, with the assistance of 120 pieces per minute, 9 people/shift are required to complete the small box work, calculated as 2 (shifts/day). H/shift). If equipped with a domestic packaging machine for production, 150 boxes per minute (max). Based on the analysis of the model packaging machine, taking the packaging production requirement of 120 branch offices as an example, only 1 person/shift is required, including 1 auxiliary person/shift and 2 shifts/day. The production and operation costs of packaging after one year of ointment are shown in Table 7 (including equipment depreciation of 10 years, construction depreciation of 20 years, working days of 250 days/year, and 8 years. h/shift).
Therefore, from the economic analysis of packaging machines, it can also be seen that they have a broad potential market. For domestic drug packaging, without a packaging machine, it may lead to high production costs and high labor intensity. According to statistics, the average packaging cost of a box of drugs accounts for approximately 5-6% of the total cost. Therefore, packaging machines are a potential developing industry, and with the development of social productivity, this type of equipment will receive more and more attention.
The feasibility of promoting packaging machines used in the pharmaceutical industry based on their downstream industry status
There are over 5000 chemical pharmaceutical and traditional Chinese medicine pharmaceutical factories, over 1000 animal pharmaceutical factories, and over 1000 health product manufacturers in China. Among them, there are about 300 ointment manufacturers, and pharmaceutical factories involving packaging of bottles, plates, and other drugs account for over 70% of the total. Roughly speaking, the total number of manufacturers in the downstream industry of packaging machines is about 5500. Currently, there are approximately 1800 packaging machine manufacturers in actual use (estimated), and two-thirds of large pharmaceutical factories in China are still at the level of manual packaging operations. During the transformation process of the 1998 GMP, pharmaceutical manufacturers' first transformation was limited to purification, formulation equipment, and other aspects. Most enterprises have not undergone a transformation in post drug packaging production. Through the efforts and capital reserves of the past decade, some pharmaceutical factories have basically met the conditions for post drug packaging production and transformation in recent years. It can be optimistically estimated that in the next few years, domestic packaging machines will have a market share of approximately 200 to 300 units per year. The key lies in how manufacturers position, manufacture, quality, and adapt.
From this perspective, high-tech, high-quality, and high-speed packaging machines are a potential development field, especially in the pharmaceutical industry, where the highlights of the post GMP transformation era have broad potential markets. It can also enter markets outside of the pharmaceutical industry, such as food, daily chemicals, pigments, etc. At the same time, the manufacturing and sales of packaging machines will be a new trend to achieve diversified derivatives and post packaging.
