The packaging of a product can be said to be a process of entering the market, directly affecting the sales of the product, which is the key. The main factors that determine the effectiveness of product packaging include packaging equipment, operators, and packaging materials, all of which are crucial. Only with this in mind can we make our packaged products exquisite.
Currently, most packaging machines in China are domestically produced. Only some large enterprises with strong funds can introduce foreign product packaging production lines. What is the reason? In fact, packaging machinery has particularly strict requirements for packaging boxes. In China, due to the substandard quality of packaging boxes on packaging lines, accidents such as increased consumption and even damage to packaging equipment often occur, resulting in low production efficiency and economic losses. Therefore, some pharmaceutical factories dare not use advanced drug packaging machines, but instead use original manual packaging. The reason is that the production method before the packaging line for packaging boxes is incorrect and poorly managed, while in Europe, where the packaging industry is mature and technologically advanced, packaging box issues are no longer the main problem.
Firstly, the impact of box design on the formation of cardboard boxes
The structural design of cardboard boxes has a significant impact on whether they can be placed on the packaging machine. In many cases, due to the unreasonable specifications and dimensions of a certain part, the product cannot be used in automatic packaging machines, or the loss rate is too high. The specification for producing white cardboard in g/m is 120mmx75mmx25mm. For example, the size of the cardboard box should fully consider the thickness of the paper and the size of the box cover. Usually, the anti lock wire should be kept away from the indentation line of the box tongue by 0.5-0.75mm.
2、 The Influence of Assembly on the Forming of Cartons
According to the fiber arrangement direction, paper is divided into two types: longitudinal and transverse. The fiber arrangement direction of paper can generally be distinguished by visual inspection. During the printing process, under the action of external forces, the paper is pulled and deformed. When external forces are cancelled, the ability of the paper to restore its original state is called tensile resistance strength. It is related to the fiber arrangement of paper. Therefore, when designing the arrangement process, when the cardboard boxes are discharged as much as possible, the opening direction of the cardboard boxes should be parallel to the fiber direction of the paper to ensure that the opening of the cardboard boxes is not too large, and the formed cardboard boxes will not become uneven or irregular due to the tension of the paper fibers themselves, ensuring that the packaging machine can easily open the boxes and smooth production.
3、 The Influence of Temperature and Humidity on the Forming of Cartons
The shape of paper can change under different temperatures and humidity. Paper has a short delivery time, high moisture content, and is prone to deformation and bending. Therefore, newly produced paper should be stored for at least one month before use to ensure that the moisture content of the paper adapts to the environmental humidity.
4、 The Effect of Surface Treatment on the Forming of Cartons
The surface treatment after printing has a significant impact on the formation of cardboard boxes, especially water-based coatings and polished products. The impact of water-based coatings mainly lies in the use of a layer of water-based coating adhesive, which causes the paper to absorb water, leading to fiber expansion and deformation of the paper. Polishing refers to the use of steel plates to polish products coated with polishing oil at high temperatures. As the temperature increases, the paper fibers elongate, the structure becomes loose, and fractures, leading to paper deformation and affecting the formation of cardboard boxes. In order to reduce the impact of surface treatment on cardboard boxes after printing, products coated with water-based coatings should generally be left for 48 hours before proceeding to the next production process: The polished product should be placed on a paper rack until it has completely cooled.
